After many years using Java (and loving it), I discovered Scala, at DevoxxFR in 2012. That was a blast. Since then, I became rather obsessed with that language and sought every opportunity to learn more about it, and about FP in general. I've learned what a monad is, and then I learned not to worry about what a monad is. I've learned about higher-kinded types and all sort of bizarre things only people who know why SI-2712 is a bad bug care about. Meanwhile, I met those people who care about SI-2712 and made some friends. Now, I thrive to share my enthusiasm about Scala with more and more people, and to make more friends by not talking too much about monads.
Also, I wear suits.

Depuis un certain temps vous entendez parler de Scala, en particulier pour les plateformes réactives ou Big Data.
Venez mettre les mains dans le code et vous familiariser avec ce langage !
Lors de cet atelier, nous vous proposons de revenir sur les fondamentaux de Scala, en nous intéressant tout particulièrement aux case class, au Pattern Matching et pour finir aux Collections. L’atelier sera organisé autour d’exercices, mettant en jeu ces différentes notions et leurs subtilités. Pas besoin de connaître les monades, monoïde ou la programmation fonctionnelle, des connaissances en programmation (Java, Python ou Javascript …) vous suffiront !
